Tully Hill Chemical Dependency Treatment Center Dramatically Reduces AR Days and Increases Cashflow with InsightCS®.

Established in 1990, Tully Hill Chemical Dependency Treatment Center is a not-for-profit facility located 15 miles south of Syracuse, New York.  Tully Hill services include Evaluations, Interventions, Medical Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Treatment Services for adults and young adults (ages 16-20), as well as treatment for their families.

In 2007, the management team at Tully Hill Chemical Dependency Treatment Center decided it was time to move off of an old, off-the-shelf patient billing system and on to a fully electronic patient billing solution.

“With our old system, so much of what we had to do was still a manual process,” explained Jennifer Nilsson, Senior IT Specialist for Tully Hill, “As a result, the time it took us to actually receive payments for patient services was often 3 to 4 months.”

The Tully Hill team initially began its search with a focus strictly on e-billing solutions.  As they dug deeper into functionality, price, and return on investment, they realized that the facility would be much better served with a fully functional, end-to-end revenue cycle information system. 

They sought a system that would enable them to not only conduct electronic billing, but that also would enable them to track and manage the entire patient experience from initial registration to discharge.
