Father Martin’s Ashley Uses InsightCS® to Reach

Father Martin’s Ashley is a private, non-profit, Joint Commission Approved, 85-bed, inpatient alcoholism and drug addiction treatment center located on a picturesque, 147-acre campus on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay just outside Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Faced with the challenge of redesigning technology to meet the strategic goal of an electronic medical record, the Father Martin’s Ashley management team decided to seek out a solution that would enable them to automate a number of manual processes while leveraging their investment in the Microsoft platform.

Complicated manual calculations were being performed by the Father Martin’s Ashley staff and needed to be automated to improve efficiency and accuracy while maintaining the ability to collect self pay amounts as early as possible in the process.  In addition, access to authorization information was fragmented, and reporting was manual, and there was no collection module and no electronic claims processing.

To address these issues, Father Martin’s Ashley selected Stockell Healthcare’s InsightCS®; an end-to-end Revenue Cycle Information Management software solution featuring complete Patient Access, Patient Accounting, and Claims Management functionality.

Today, Father Martin’s Ashley is utilizing InsightCS® for a variety of key functions including custom insurance verification, automation of calculations performed prior to admitting, and the use of the system’s worklist capabilities for tasks associated with their collections activities.  Other benefits they are taking full advantage of include electronic claim filing, imaging and reporting.

The organization has seen a much better return on remittances, higher percentage of clean initial claims, and more rapid (within 48 hours) handling/correction of rejected claims.
